We have gathered together three dynamic speakers for this all-day Leadership Bootcamp: Dr. James McDonald is the founder of Harvest Bible Chapel, Former Navy Seal, Jim O’Connor, and Jim Cain, author of the award-winning book “Teamwork and Teamplay”. The Pond Guy, Greg Wittstock, will round out the day, creating an informative workshop with tools you can use in your own business.
DiSC Leadership Workshop
This Boot Camp is a repeat of last year’s popular workshop and a must for anyone who wants to learn about and capitalize on their natural leadership style. This all-day Leadership Boot Camp is based on the DiSC Leadership Model and will be presented by Lauri Mitchell of Mitchell Motivation. Everyone who attends this training will receive their own individual leadership evaluation based on completing an online assessment prior to the event.

Join us on this full-day tour in Chicago. We’ll visit of one of the largest and most stunning conservatories in the nation, view Chicago’s legendary architecture by boat, and tour a full-service landscape company based in Chicago.
The Garfield Park Conservatory, often referred to as “landscape art under glass,” occupies approximately two acres, as well as twelve acres of stunning outdoor gardens. Thousands of plant species are on display throughout eight rooms in this magnificent facility. Travel through the conservatory with our own tour guide to experience the lush flora and tropical temperatures taking you away from the hustle and bustle of Chicago.
After the Conservatory, we will tour the impressive facilities of Christy Webber Landscapes.
Finally, we will navigate through the heart of Chicago by boat on all three branches of the Chicago River with a professionally-trained architectural guide to point out more than 130 years of innovation in design, style, and technique. This is one of Chicago’s most popular tourist attractions. You’ll be inspired by the visual art that is Chicago’s legendary architecture, and the exceptional architects who created this ever-changing, dynamic legacy.
Aquascape Academy Hands-On Training and Waterfall Contest
Thursday, August 24th | 8:30 a.m – 5:30 p.m.
Chris Wilson, Trent Caldwell and Tavia Tawney will lead a very busy and informative day specially designed for anyone looking for some hands-on training. We will kick off the day at the Q Center. The morning session will cover Aquascape construction techniques and valuable insights that our team has developed over the years. Buses will then take participants to Aqualand for hands-on training. Following the morning training, everyone will have a chance to practice what they have learned and participate in the always popular, and very competitive, waterfall building competition. This is an extremely fun hands-on afternoon! Participants will also get a chance to tour Aqualand.
Greg Wittstock Keynote: A Purpose Driven Business

Aquascape Foundation Topgolf Fundraiser
Friday, Aug 25th | 7:45 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Join us at Topgolf Naperville for this popular event. Players score points by hitting balls into targets on a driving range. The more accurate your shot and the farther the distance, the more points you earn. Golf skills are definitely not required to have a good time – this game is fun for everyone, whether you’ve never hit a golf ball or you are scratch golfer. Proceeds benefit the Aquascape Foundation. Event fee includes appetizers and transportation to Topgolf Naperville. Additional food and beverage will be available for purchase. This popular event will be limited to 250 people.
Contractor Pond Tour
Saturday, August 26th | 1:30 p.m – 5:30 p.m.
Take this opportunity to visit some of the ponds constructed by our local pond crew. You will be taken by bus to several diverse ponds in the area and have a chance to ask questions about the construction, bidding, and pricing of the projects.
Top Frog Awards Roundtables
Saturday, August 26th | 7:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m.
We will kick off the Blow-Out Bash with the announcement of the rankings of our Top Frogs! This is always a much-anticipated event as our Top 100 customers wait to see where they rank. The Top 20 Contractors and Top 20 Retailers will be announced and the Top 100 ranking will be posted. Additionally we will present the following awards:
Businessman of the Year: The ultimate honor as we choose this business as the example others can learn from and emulate.
Certified Aquascape Contractor of the Year: Awarded annually to a Certified Aquascape Contractor who epitomizes what the CAC group is all about.
Artist of the Year: Each year, we select a contractor whose work we feel should be rewarded for its artistry.
Conservationist of the Year: Awarded to a business that is supporting and encouraging conservation.
